I don't know why I bother buying game points for people.

So let me explain.

My brother plays Perfect World and recently hit level 30. Gifted with a game system flying creature that flies almost as slowly as a werefox could run, he wanted me to help him buy some game points (Cubits) so he could buy some turbo-charged flying manta ray to get around.

Now, we go to the website to check it's cost. It said 15 Cubi-gold. Since we were buying a card that said 100 cubits, we assumed that cubits = cubi-gold. Wow, we though, thats really cheap, and proceeded to list down a multitude of ingame items that we could afford. Next, came the visit to MOL access portal.

Okay, buying stuff through MOL is what I'd call a pleasant experience. You just pick whatever goodies you want and pay for them with any one of the twelve plus payments methods they have there. You've got Maybank2U, Pospay yada yada yada credit card.

So I buy the card, they give me the serial in less than 2 minutes after the order is approved. Fine, as usual I applaud MOL for their fast service.

Now we go to Cubizone.com, wait half a year for the website to load and then proceed to find our way around with it's blindingly orange layout. Finally finding the reload place, we type in the details and wait another half a year.

Error, Top-Up Code not valid.

What?

I try again a few times and I get the same stuff. I copied and pasted the code dammit, I coulnd't have typed it wrong. Now I had to wait another half a year to get to the customer helpdesk and send a report.

2 years later.

I finally get the thing sent, now while waiting for the Cubizone website to do it;s thing, i send a report to MOL as well about the problem. Which website is the culprit I do not know, but I report it anyway.

Now when we thought things couldnt get worse, I chance upon some info located ONLY in the Perfect World forum, no where else.

100 cubits = 10 Cubi Gold
1 Cubi Gold = 100 Cubi Coins

WTF we've been had! Now it seems that for my RM10 put in, I can only buy two measly extension stones (rather than the flying beastie my brother wanted) costing a whopping RM5 each. To top things off, almost everywhere that sells the online gold has a different name for almost everything, further confusing us people who JUST WANT TO BUY SOME FRIGGIN' GAME CASH AND BE DONE WITH IT. So now I wait for the responses from both sites and boy have they got some explaining to do!

Moral of the story :
1. Don't trust ANY website that can barely speak english.
2. Play WOW for goodness sake! These Korean MMOs will be the death of you.

Survival

Welp, survived me another V-Day. Usual style, usual goods. Sent out some V-Cards, but didn't get any replies from the people I sent em to. Oh well. Prepare for some blunt/cryptic statements here.

Decided to join the founding team of some new pet website. Will be artist. Specializing in dragons. Whoo Hoo? Dunno. Stuff is new, leader is hard to understand. Must improve chatzspeak to understand. Yawn.

Proposition of love? I dunno. Things mightave been different had I said yes, but I still think I would have said no. Don't think I'm ready for that kinda stuff yet. You're still a fantastic friend though. Don't die off on my yet :)

Cosplay stuff underway. Trouble knowing if I can make it in time again. Some stuff with Doujin group, slight internal dissagreements. Must make people work. Should turn out ok, it always does anyway. Got hotel! WHOO. Room to myself to boot yeah! (well, not like I wanna be selfish, but thats the way it has to be unfortunately) you're still welcome to bung your stuff in it though.

Gaming.. don't seem to have that much time for it anymore. Between college, work and my art obligations, it's slowly slipping away...

Comic comic. This one or another one. Other one can wait, this one needs to be half done before publishing. Tablet is breaking down ARRGGG. Next time I buy one, you no touchy! Then again, Bamboo vs Genius. Genius bigger for cheaper, Bamboo better for smaller. Wuh?
